NZ$75 per person
NZ$45 Junior (19 years and under)

For all entries $5 of each entry goes to Cure Kids.

DIVISIONS

Recreational: for racers who wish to have a good fun ride. 36kms

Sport: For racers who wish a longer challenge, and a decent ride. 45kms

Elite: for the fast and furious, 45kms

THE COURSE
Starting in the Millbrook area competitors will descend via the newly gazetted Wakatipu Trails Trust track, and follow to cross Speargrass Flat Rd and ascend Slope Hill Road. Continue on Slope Hill Road to descend via lower Shotover Rd and Domain Rd onto the scenic single track that follows the true left bank of the Shotover River.

Across the restored Shotover Bridge and follow gravel road and 4*4 tracks to the Shotover delta before joining the Kawarau river track and then across the Kawarau River Bridge

One kilometer of highway riding will have the riders approach the scenic and private Kawarau River Road down the true right bank. A gently undulating ride will bring riders to the finish line at the Chard farm winery with bbq and band.

EVENT INFORMATION
The event will be run primarily on Wakatipu Tails Trust tracks, but also public roads and Shotover Riverside tracks and roads. The section along the banks of the Kawarau is on private property There is absolutely no access permitted on any of the privately owned property of Cone Peak Station along the side of the Kawarau prior to the event.

During the event the gates will be marshalled, but participants must watch for stock.

Only registered riders will be allowed on the privately owned land.

Please do not leave any rubbish along the route. All food wrappers and other rubbish must be carried to the finish and not discarded anywhere along the route.

Registration / Race Packs
Your race pack will be available at registration and will contain your race number, cable ties, and promotional material from sponsors. The number must be attached to the front of your bike for the event. Your race briefing, and pick up time will be emailed to you and will also be available on the web site.

Transponders
Transponders will be available to pick up on race morning at registration. Securely attach the transponder following the instructions.
If you lose your transponder there will be a $30 replacement charge. Please also notify event staff at the finish line. Your transponder will be removed by volunteers at the finish line. If you leave the finish area without them removing it please come back and hand it in, it is your responsibility that it is returned!

Route Markings
The route will be marked as required with tour de wakatipu signage
There are unmarked hazards on this course. Potholes, rocks, stock, rutted tracks, steep descents are all part of what is required to be negotiated by the competitor.

Prize Giving
Prize giving will be held at the finish line at Chard Farm, all welcome. A band will entertain until prize-giving and food, coffee and wine will be available. Please note all first place getters will receive a prize. 2nd place getters will also receive a prize, provided there are 7 individuals in their category, similarly the 3rd place getters will also receive a prize provided there are 10 individuals in their category. All placegetters will be invited to come to the podium.

Spot Prizes
All competitors are eligible for spot prizes. Check our tent to see if you have won a Spot Prize and simply collect it.
Please ensure you have a sober driver with you if you choose to drink alcohol. Also be mindful if you are driving ensure you only consume a moderate amount of alcohol and eat plenty of food while you are drinking. Be sensible in this regard. We do not advocate drink driving.

Reserve Day
In severe weather conditions, the event will be postoned to the following day. All race timings will remain the same.

What is the refund Policy?
There will be a refund of 50% up until two weeks prior to the event, and upon notification to the organisers. No refund will be paid for any withdrawals made after this date. There will be no roll over of withdrawn entries to the next year’s event.
If the reserve day should be cancelled due to weather conditions or other circumstances (such as clash with another event) there will be no refunds.
No swap over of entries to another person can be accepted prior to notifying the organisers. It is a safety issue should you be involved in an accident.

Competitor Transport
Return from Chard Farm - by bike or private car.
We don't have a transport system back to Millbrook.

Traffic & Parking
Millbrook: Traffic Marshal's will be in place to direct vehicles. Please obey their instructions. If required all day parking will be available. Absolutely no cycling or warm-ups on the public roads adjacent to the Millbrook is permitted before the event.
Chard Farm:
it is a narrow road into Chard Farm but there is space for passing carefully. A limited amount of parking will be avaliable in chard Farm. The balance of the cars will be parked in the adjacent paddock to the Winehouse and Kitchen. A passenger shuttle will run along Chard Road. Be carefull crossing the Highway.
