NEW Fairydown 8hr Adventure Challenge

A new fun 8 hour race for first timers individuals and teams, women and men on the Saturday 15 November, in conjunction with the Fairydown 24hrs of Southern Traverse

Next Fairydown 24hrs of Southern Traverse -15-16th Nov '08

Dates are set and we'll see you on the 15-16th November 2008. Once again, the race will be staged in the Queenstown area, and we look forward to a new era with the support of Naming right sponsor Fairydown.

We are already excited about the course and while we still need to check with a couple of farmers we think that the course offers a good variety of low alpine terrain, some bush, excellent kayaking on river and lake, and some mountain biking on terrain not always accessible....

BATTLE IN 24 HOURS OF SOUTHERN TRAVERSE

Some of the most experienced adventure racers in New Zealand's tackled the 24 Hours of Southern Traverse on a challenging and spectacularly scenic course in the Southern Lakes region yesterday, with line honours going to the local Queenstown Team Icebreaker R & R Sport ....

Team Paper Plus Queenstown passed the Icebreaker R & R Sport team at the start of the Kawarau paddle and hold a 2 minute lead on the paddle....
